FAQs

Frequent Questions

You will first have a consultation where we discuss what look you want. It is important that you wear your makeup to the appointment, so we can determine how you like your makeup applied. You can also bring your brow/eyeliner pencil and lipstick color to assist in choosing your colors. If you desire lip color and have a history of fever blisters, you will need to request a prescription antiviral from your doctor.

Topical anesthetic creams will be applied before and also during your procedure to make you as comfortable as possible. Most find this resolves most if not all discomfort. Immediately after your procedure the color will appear darker than the final result. This occurs because the color is in both the epidermis (upper layer) and dermis. The color in the epidermis will flake off during the healing process leaving a softer natural color.

Permanent Cosmetics will last for years depending on your skin, aftercare, lifestyle and daily care. The color will fade over time, so color refreshers are suggested. Color refreshers are provided for a small fee, depending on the amount of work necessary. The better your skin care regime is, the longer your permanent cosmetics will last. The use of a total sun block will help prevent fading due to sunlight.

We use topical anesthetic ointments and creams designed specifically for permanent cosmetics, to make sure the procedure is as comfortable as possible. During a survey of clients asked about their discomfort level (from 1-10), most say it ranges between a 1-3. Many feel very relaxed during the procedure and a few have even fallen asleep.

We follow all OSHA regulations, CDC guidelines and always use Universal/Standard Precautions for your protection. New, pre-sterilized needles and machine set up are used for all clients. Disposable machine parts are used for the best safety available.
